Packers vs. Bears Week 17 Game Predictions from ALLGBP.com

GAME PREDICTIONS
Week 17: Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 8-7 Green Bay Packers 27-24
Sure the Packers get Randall Cobb and Aaron Rodgers back but they can’t play defense. Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall go crazy as two pitiful defenses face off. It’ll probably come down to last drive so I say Green Bay by the skin of their teeth
“Jersey” Al Bracco 7-8 Green Bay Packers 31-22
Is there anything better than this? Packers-Bears in an “elimination death match?” With all due respect to Rodgers and Cobb, Cutler at QB for the Bears is just what was needed from GB’s perspective. He doesn’t throw the end zone jump balls as well as McCown. That really hurt the Pack in the first game.
Notes
Adam Czech 9-6 Green Bay Packers 31-27
Packers fans are all fired up and cocky about the return of Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb. I got news for you folks: Sunday is going to be a damn tough game. Chicago’s WRs are huge and should have a field day against a Packers defense that tends to disappear in big games. However, I still think Rodgers makes the difference and the Packers pull this one out.
Marques Eversoll 8-7 Green Bay Packers 35-24
Aaron Rodgers is going to be Aaron Rodgers. And as long as Eddie Lacy is playing, the Chicago defense is in for a long afternoon. Sam Shields and Tramon Williams will need to bring their A-game.
Thomas Hobbes 7-8 Green Bay Packers 21-20
If I stuck with the Packers when it was Scott Tolzein, no way am I not picking them with Aaron Rodgers under center.  However, the biggest key will be Eddie Lacy and the running game.  If Rodgers can keep the defense honest (how the tides have turned), Eddie Lacy will have a shot at shredding a historically bad run defense.
Cory Jennerjohn 11-4 Green Bay Packers 27-21

Steelers vs. Packers Week 16 Game Predictions from AllGreenBayPackers.com

GAME PREDICTIONS
Week 16: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 8-6 Green Bay Packers 24-23
Pittsburgh is better than their record indicates. Who wins depends on which Packers defense shows up. I like the Packers at home as the NFC North comes down to Packers vs Bears next week
“Jersey” Al Bracco 7-7 Green Bay Packers 24-16
The Packers defense will come up with some stops when needed, holding the Steelers to field goals and the offense will get off to a better start and never look back.
Adam Czech 9-5 Green Bay Packers 24-22
A late Mason Crosby field goal in the snow makes the difference in this one.
Marques Eversoll 8-6 Green Bay Packers 24-23
Aaron Rodgers or not, the Packers are two wins away from a playoff berth. They need this one to keep the season going, and Dom Capers’ defense will step up to the plate.
Thomas Hobbes 7-7 Green Bay Packers 21-20
The Steelers don’t have any playoff hopes and the Packers have learned that they can win without Rodgers. Pittsburgh isn’t all that strong of a team either and home field advantage will be in the Packers favor; this team likes to sneak by on one point.
Cory Jennerjohn 11-3 Green Bay Packers 23-20
Not having Aaron Rodgers yet again is bad but Eddie Lacy in the snow might be the next best thing. The secondary showed signs of life last week against Tony Romo and should show up against the lesser Ben Roethlisberger at home. The game will be won by by the Packers’ linebackers.
Jason Perone 8-6 Green Bay Packers 27-20
Many are expecting a high-scoring affair between these two teams but a cold day and a good chance of snow suggests otherwise.  This isn’t Brett Favre vs. the Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs, this is Matt Flynn.  Still, the Packers are one of the league’s best at home in December and they will come ready to play, especially Clay Matthews and Eddie Lacy.
Chad Toporski 7-7 Pittsburgh Steelers 20-23

Packers vs. Cowboys Week 15 Game Predictions from AllGreenBayPackers.com

GAME PREDICTIONS
Week 15: Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 23-17
Both defenses are terrible but the Packers will have a tougher time with Romo and Dez Bryant than Dallas will with Flynn. Packers lose but it’ll be close.
“Jersey” Al Bracco 6-7 Green Bay Packers 34-31
The Packers will need to score in the thirties to beat the Cowboys. Fortunately, the Dallas defense has been the worse in the league this year. Matt Flynn just needs to be efficient and the defense needs two to create 2 big turnovers.
Adam Czech 9-4 Dallas Cowboys 34-16
The Packers are going to need to score at least 30 points to win this one. Yes, the Cowboys defense is bad, but the Packers only managed to put up 22 at home against a bad Falcons D last Sunday. The Cowboys speed on offense will be too much for the Packers defense at the Jerry Dome and Dallas wins this one going away as Aaron Rodgers collarbone continues healing on the sideline.
Marques Eversoll 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 27-24
Sean Lee isn’t quite as valuable to the Dallas defense as Aaron Rodgers is to the Green Bay offense, but both units are significantly downgraded without their star players. Because of the Cowboys’ porous defense, I think it’ll come down to the wire before Dallas wins a close one.
Thomas Hobbes 6-7 Green Bay Packers 20-17
This game mostly goes back to consistency; if the Cowboys haven’t fixed whatever it was that let the Bears dismantle them last week then the Packers have a shot if the offense can keep the game close. Hopefully last weeks win galvanizes the team and they can grind out another win.
Cory Jennerjohn 10-3 Green Bay Packers 24-20
The Packers defense has been an eyesore this season but the Cowboys D might actually trump them in ugliness. Many are scared with Matt Flynn starting again, but as long as the Packers own the time of possession and don’t allow Dez Bryant to have an All-Galaxy performance, Green Bay should win.
Jason Perone 8-5 Dallas Cowboys 27-14

Packers vs. Falcons Week 14 Game Predictions from AllGreenBayPackers.com

GAME PREDICTIONS
Week 14: Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 7-5 Green Bay Packers 24-20
There is a strong argument against the Packers here, but Green Bay is going up against the one team with a worse defense than them.  Atlanta, a dome team, will struggle in the cold and Green Bay wins a game uglier than your grandmother’s Christmas sweater.
“Jersey” Al Bracco 5-7 Green Bay Packers 20-17
Having stuck with the Packers against my better judgement during this losing streak, I can’t abandon them now. Not even sure what to hang my hat on – I’ll go with lucky bounces and some frozen Falcons not wanting to be out there…
Adam Czech 9-3 Atlanta Falcons 27-24
As I write this, there’s a chance that Marshall Newhouse could start at left tack on Sunday. If that’s the case, the Packers might lose 110-4 and end up with -76 yards of offense. If whatever is wrong with Bakhtiari is cured by Sunday and Newhouse (mercifully) doesn’t play left tackle, the Packers will only lose by a field goal.
Marques Eversoll 8-4 Atlanta Falcons 27-24
I think it’ll be close, but I can’t see the Packers winning this one without Aaron Rodgers. The Falcons aren’t good, either, but they’re a little better than this beaten-up Packers team.
Thomas Hobbes 5-7 Green Bay Packers 13-10
I’m going to try to stay optimistic and assume that anyone on the team who wasn’t afraid of losing their jobs will be on their toes after last week.  Losing more games is likely to start seeing heads roll and everyone knows it.  Luckily the Falcons have had just as much of a nose-dive as the Packers this year and they don’t have the alibi of losing their starting quarterback.
Cory Jennerjohn 9-3 Green Bay Packers 20-16
I realize the Packers are 0-4-1 in their last five but if ever Green Bay needed help from the football gods, this is the perfect time. The Falcons bagged the season the moment Julio Jones went down. This is the classic “I Told You So” game for Ted Thompson. Thirty-year-old Steven Jackson was a target of the Packers in the offseason, but has been a shell of himself while battling injuries as he continues to get slower. Sound the alarm for Eddie Lacy — Atlanta is 30th in the league by allowing 126 rushing yards a game.

Packers vs. Lions Week 13 Game Predictions from AllGreenBayPackers.com

GAME PREDICTIONS
Week 13: Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
Name Record To-Date This Week’s Pick Score Prediction
Kris Burke 6-5 Detroit Lions 27-20
Matt Flynn gets the start but Sam Shields is really the one everyone needs to see start.  If he can’t go, the Packers stand no chance of shutting down Calvin Johnson.  Even if Shields does play, I lack confidence in the Green Bay defense to stop the Lions
“Jersey” Al Bracco 5-6 Green Bay Packers 20-17
Can the beleaguered Packers defense play a decent game? Well, they get their best coverage guy, Sam Shields back as well as an emotional leader Johnny Jolly. Will it be enough? Probably not. But I’m betting on the longshot here.
Adam Czech 8-3 Detroit Lions 31-20
Too many injuries. Too many missed tackles. Too many blown coverages. Too much nonsense. The Packers lose on turkey day.
Marques Eversoll 7-4 Detroit Lions 27-21
Fans across America will surely be at the edge of their seat Thursday, as Matt Flynn leads the low-scoring Packers offense against the pass-happy Lions. But. There’s just no way.
Thomas Hobbes 5-6 Green Bay Packers 16-14
In terms on talent on the field, there’s no way that the Packers should win this game.  However, the Lions are incredibly inconsistent and if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can beat them, so can a injury riddled Packers squad.  Matt Flynn keeps the defense honest and gives Eddie Lacy some more room to run, and the Packers play keep away and squeak out a win.
Cory Jennerjohn 8-3 Detroit Lions 31-23
The Lions are giving just 88 yards rushing a game, which means the biggest matchup of the day will be Matt Flynn vs. the nasty Lions’ front four that has 16 sacks as a group. The Lions already smell chum in the water with the way right guard T.J. Lang and right tackle Marshall Newhouse are playing. Reggie Bush will have a big game because no linebacker will be able to stay with him.
Jason Perone 7-4 Detroit Lions 21-20
