Post-Victory. What a Christmas gift!
If there is one thing I have learned growing up in Wisconsin, it’s that when someone offers you a free ticket to a Green Bay Packers game you must say yes or face terrible consequences.
Even on Christmas Day.
First a little background: I work two jobs, both in retail. Obviously the arrival of Christmas was a big relief to me as it’s the sign that the craziness that began the day after Thanksgiving was finally coming to an end. With both employers being closed, I was looking forward to the day off and quiet time with family and watching Packers vs. Bears on TV before going back in at 5:30 am on the 26th.
Then the phone rang at about 9 am.
You don’t expect too many phone calls Christmas Day aside from relatives outside the area calling to say “Merry Christmas.” This one, however, was a very different (and honestly a much better) phone call.
It was cousin, ironically from Illinois but a Packers season ticket holder. He had a spare ticket to the game Sunday night and asked if I wanted to go along, no charge at all. If ever there was a stupid question, this is it. Read more... (1639 words + 1 image, estimated 6:33 mins reading time)

Packers Santa
Last year at this time, Packers Santa and I traveled to Green Bay to deliver a bag of coal to Mike McCarthy. You see, Packers Santa always knows if they’ve been bad or good. Last year around Christmas time, the Packers were coming off of two straight losses and had lost three out of their last four games.
The bag of coal must have gotten the message through because the Packers beat the Giants that week and hadn’t lost a game since… until last week.
Now, we’re not about to give McCarthy a bag of coal over one loss, but I’ve discussed this with Packers Santa, and we’ve decided on this little message:
He will be bringing all of the Packers a clean sheet of paper. Something to record their next winning streak on…
As the Packers embark on this new journey towards a second straight Super Bowl, I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone that reads, comments and frequents this site. It’s a tremendous amount of fun hanging out with everyone here, and truthfully, it’s you, the reader and your participation and feedback that makes all of this hard work worthwhile. Read more... Green Bay Packers Stock Certificate
Just in time for the Holidays, the Green Bay Packers are offering their fans the opportunity to become a stockholder in the only community-owned, non-profit professional sports team in America.
Many a Packers fan will see their dream of team ownership granted this holiday season, at a not-so-inexpensive cost of $250 per “share.” Money received from the stock sale will be used to finance another Lambeau Field expansion project, already underway in some cases.
As a current stockholder, I don’t feel the need to be adding to my “stake”, so instead, I’ll just watch from afar and welcome aboard all my new fellow owners.
Full information will be released on December 6th. Here are the details currently available from Packers.com:

- The price per share will be $250, and there will be a handling charge.
- The offering will be limited to persons in the United States, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Until regulators in the states of New Hampshire and Virginia allow the offering to proceed in those states, residents of those states will not be able to purchase shares.

All right, that does it.
I tried ignoring it, but the more and more I read Twitter the more frustrated I am getting. I’ve been taking the high road on this and will continue to by not using his real name. He doesn’t deserve all the attention he is getting.
Who am I talking about? A certain sports shock jock on ESPN. Since I’m withholding his real name, I will call him Jump Shoremore. Think about it. He’s the guy trying to undermine Aaron Rodgers every time the mute on his microphone is accidentally turned off.
Packer Nation, it’s time to take a chill pill and face reality: the closer the Packers get to an undefeated season, the more amped up the media coverage will be. If you think things are bad now, wait until Week 17 should the Packers be 15-0 at that point.
That said, I beg you all to do this regarding the aforementioned ESPN jock: Ignore. Him.
I know it’s tough. He’s attempting to torpedo our quarterback. As fans we naturally surround the player and defend him from these kinds of things and fire shots back at the attacker. It’s the natural thing to do, so I can’t blame fans for reacting the way they are. Read more... (1012 words + 1 image, estimated 4:03 mins reading time)

The next time Adam Carolla goes on one of his rants about “rich white guy problems,” he should find a way to work in the Green Bay Packers.
Carolla is a former carpenter and boxing coach who entered the world of mass media. His resume includes co-hosting the popular radio show Loveline, various movie and TV credits, and creating a massively popular podcast.
Carolla’s podcasts are filled with over-the-top rants and observations about politics, marriage, race and sports. One of Carolla’s more amusing rants revolves around “problems” that only he and other “rich white guys” have. Examples include having to watch a 42-inch plasma TV while the 65-inch TV gets fixed, being inconvenienced by the family maid as she cleans the mansion and deciding which $1,000 bottle of vodka to buy in the VIP room at the club.
Folks, the Packers also have rich white guy problems.
The problems don’t have anything to do with being white, but have everything to do with being rich. Only a guy who has more money than he knows what to do with gets annoyed at the in-home maid who asks you to lift your feet while she vacuums the carpet. Read more...
