Listen in to this radio interview with Josh Sitton on the Jim Rome Radio Show. Sitton talks about his love of fireworks, golf, living in Green Bay, moving to the left side of the line and Aaron Hernandez.
This is the second in a series of videos being produced by the UCLA film department about Packers draft pick Johnathan Franklin. (you can find part one here) In this episode, we learn about what drives Johnathan Franklin to succeed and some struggles he’s had to overcome.
You’ll hear from UCLA coach Jim Mora, Johnathan’s mom and of course, Franklin himself.
Selected by the Packers in the fourth round of last April’s draft, UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin is the subject of a UCLA video series that will document his transition from college player to professional athlete with the Green Bay Packers. Below is the first installment, Page One.
Franklin also happens to be our special guest on this week’s All Packers Talk Live show. Tune in Thursday night, 8:30PM Central, to hear Jason, Marques and Kris break down the latest Packers news and speak with Johnathan on a variety of topics.
William Henderson, if you didn’t know, is an all-out passionate guy. This was never more clearer than during this interview with our own Jason Perone and Marques Eversoll. Asked about a wide range of questions, Henderson attacked them like an inside linebacker he was trying to clear out of a hole.
Since retiring from football, Henderson has remained in Wisconsin and has turned his enthusiasm to supporting local causes. He latest is the Wisconsin Kiwanis Clubs’ Autism Project. The project aims to buy 1000 ipads for Autistic Children in Wisconsin.
Henderson is helping fund-raise through his Sweet Frog Yogurt shops and by acting as the primary host for “The Ultimate Packer Fan Connection,” taking place on June 15th at the Stadium View Bar. Henderson as well as other former and current Packers will be there to sign autographs and meet fans.
In this interview, Henderson talks about these projects and then takes us back to the Brett Favre / Reggie White Packers with some insights you haven’t heard elsewhere.
Henderson breaks down the current Packers an then tells us…
…what he thinks was Ted Thompson’s biggest mistake.
Here’s an interview with Packers kicker Giorgio Tavecchio I’m pretty sure you haven’t read – unless you’re a Packers fan in Italy. Journalist Giovanni Marino, a fan of American football from the Italian newspaper site La Repubblica, had a conversation with Giorgio recently, to talk about his early experiences as a Green Bay Packer.
As an added bonus, I’m going to translate it into English for you! Isn’t that nice?
You won’t have to go use Google translate, which composed a bunch of strange sounding English sentences when I gave it a try on the original article on LaRepublica.it. If you can read Italian, by all means, read it there.
The second part of Giorgio Tavecchio’s dream has just begun. “And I don’t want to wake up,” he jokes with his usual good humor and an admirable calmness. The young Italian is in Green Bay, and has just started a few days of long preseason workouts, which will prove decisive for his future. He is looking to steal the spot of Mason Crosby, Packers kicker and owner of a disappointing season last year. A chance at a spot in the NFL is so close, yet still so far away for the young hopeful from Milan. “My experience in San Francisco was important, I know what to do and I will. Then we will see what will happen,” he says with hope but with a great sense of realism. Here is the story of his early days with the most successful team in the United States.
